Submit tracker and evidence
Wed, Dec 2, 2026 · Week 15 · Principles of Biomedical Technology (Principles of Biomedical Science)
Today's goal: Students finalize and submit the outbreak investigation package and update the tracker.
What a finished product looks like
This is a model of the work you should turn in today. Use it to check your own: match the structure and the level of detail, do not copy it. Your data and wording should be your own.
Project tracker, Outbreak unit:
- Status: Complete. Five distinct artifacts attached and labeled: line list, epidemic curve, spot map, agent-ID data, and CER.
- Confidence rating: 78 percent.
- Confident: I can plot a curve and a map and read a point-source pattern.
- Less sure (the useful 22 percent): attack-rate math when the exposed number is not given directly, and telling point-source from continuous common-source on a borderline curve.
- Reflective note: My CER assumed 120 people were exposed. If that count is off, my attack rate is off, so I flagged it as the biggest source of uncertainty.
- Sources cited: the provided case data, my epidemiology class notes, and the PLTW online activity. All named and attached.
A rating below 80 percent on outbreak content is a signal, not a failure: it tells me to drill attack-rate problems before the WebXam.
Also due today: Submit the tracker update in Schoology under the Friday Tracker assignment and attach the full evidence package.
WebXam problem for today's skill
One exam-style question that uses exactly what you practiced today. Try it before you reveal the answer, then read why each choice is right or wrong.
