Accessibility
Every student should be able to reach the lesson, understand the task, and show what they know. If a page or resource blocks you, ask for another format.
Our target
The portal uses WCAG 2.1 Level AA as its accessibility target for student-facing pages. That target guides design and review; it is not a claim that every page, document, simulation, or outside resource has been formally certified.
What the site supports
- Semantic headings, labels, and descriptive text for core learning pages.
- Keyboard navigation for standard links, forms, and controls.
- Responsive layouts, zoom-friendly text, print styles, and reduced-motion support.
- Alternative text or written context for instructional images where available.
Known gaps
Large interactive simulations, complex diagrams, embedded media, and generated documents may not yet work equally well with every assistive technology. Captions, transcripts, and alternative document formats are not guaranteed for every linked third-party resource.
Get an alternative
Contact Mr. Mendoza with the page address and the barrier you hit. A readable document, written procedure, transcript, enlarged copy, or alternate way to complete the learning task can be provided. Accommodation requests and formal accessibility concerns may also follow the school or district process.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is checked during updates, and reported barriers are prioritized. This page describes current practices and known limits; it is not a blanket conformance claim.
