This week's deep question

The nephron filters almost everything and then takes most of it back. Explain why filtering first and reabsorbing after beats being selective up front, and what urine can reveal about health.

Three or four sentences. If you did this week's work, you can answer it; if you are stuck, open your Cornell notes from the days listed above. That is what they are for.

The ten-minute walk

  1. 01My grade right now, and why

Predict it first, then open the portal or Schoology and check. Predicting first is the part that raises grades.

  2. 02My notes this week

What your Cornell notes show you worked on, and one thing you would improve about how you took them.

  3. 03What I understand now that I did not on Monday

Name it plainly. If nothing comes to mind, look at Monday's page and compare.

  4. 04Where we are in the PLTW curriculum

One line. The week page prints it for you; put it in your own words.

  5. 05This week's deep question

Three or four sentences. It is answerable from this week's work, and from nothing else.

  6. 06How I am feeling about this class and school right now

Honest is the only wrong-proof answer. Mr. Mendoza reads every one of these.

  7. 07Anything that might get in my way next week

Only if you want to say it. A heads-up on Friday beats an apology on Thursday.

  8. 08My SMART goal for next week

Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound. One goal we can both check next Friday.
