ETHICS DAY Should athletes be allowed drugs that build muscle faster? I said no and got asked why training at altitude is fine but a drug is not, since both are deliberate manipulation of physiology.

I did not have a clean line. The best I got to was that one carries a health cost the athlete may not be able to refuse if everyone else is taking it. That is a coercion argument, not a fairness argument, and it is a better one than what I walked in with.
