How the seal gets earned
- 01Log your hours
Track Work-Based Learning hours from internships, clinical placements, job shadows, and approved CTE experiences.
- 02Reach the 250-hour goal
Our pathway's target for documented work-based learning. Ask Mr. Mendoza which hours count toward which requirement.
- 03Build the skills
Show up reliably, communicate clearly, and take initiative without being asked.
- 04Get validated
Adult mentors who supervised you sign off on those skills. That validation is what earns the seal, and it is added to your diploma and transcript.
Almost everybody forgets to log the first few weeks. Start this week and the total still gets there.

A state-recognized stamp on your student's diploma and transcript that tells employers and colleges they demonstrated 15 professional skills (like reliability, teamwork, and punctuality), validated by adult mentors.
Internships, clinical placements, job shadows, approved volunteering, and part-time work tied to the pathway. When in doubt, log it here and ask; it is easier to verify a logged hour than to recover a forgotten one.
Adults who supervise a student at work or volunteering can serve as a validating mentor. Ask your student to show you their hour log, and help them log hours the same week they happen.

Drop your Work Ready submission in the OneDrive folder, or hand it to Mr. Mendoza in class. Both count. Sign in with your Microsoft (district) account, not a personal one. Nothing is turned in on Schoology: that is where the report-card grade shows up later.
Name the file exactly like this, with two underscores between the name and the title:
Lastname_Firstname__Assignment Title.pdfTwo underscores between the name and the title. Do not put your student ID in the file name: your district sign-in already tells me it is you. A file named any other way is not lost. It waits in a review folder until it is sorted by hand, so it is graded later.
Your receipt. Your own upload panel says Uploaded, with a green check beside the file name. That is your receipt. Screenshot it if you want a record of your own. Do not wait for the file to appear in a list. You should not be able to see anyone else's work in there. If you can see other students' files, stop and tell Mr. Mendoza.
