Here's an example of what's due today

Fri, Nov 20, 2026 · Week 13 · Principles of Biomedical Technology (Principles of Biomedical Science)

Today's goal: Students finalize and submit the infection-control package and update the tracker.

What a finished product looks like

This is a model of the work you should turn in today. Use it to check your own: match the structure and the level of detail, do not copy it. Your data and wording should be your own.

Project tracker update
Completes: Completes the unit closeout: a tracker showing infection-unit status, a confidence rating, and a reflective limitations note linked to the submitted evidence package.

Project tracker, Infection unit:

  • Status: Complete. Case analysis, control plan, and CER all attached as separate labeled files.
  • Confidence rating: 85 percent.
  • What I am confident about: I can label all six chain links and match a control to the link it breaks.
  • Where I am less sure (the useful 15 percent): I still mix up incidence and prevalence vocabulary, and I want to double-check my attack-rate math before the WebXam.
  • Reflective limitation note: My CER assumed the neighboring wound was the source. If I had a second data point, I could rule that assumption in or out.
  • Sources cited: chain-of-infection class notes, the PLTW online activity, and the scenario brief. All real and attached, no placeholders.

Why I did not write 100 percent: a confidence rating below 100 is honest data. It tells me exactly what to review (incidence vs prevalence) instead of guessing.

Also due today: Submit the tracker update in Schoology under the Friday Tracker assignment and attach the full evidence package.

WebXam problem for today's skill

One exam-style question that uses exactly what you practiced today. Try it before you reveal the answer, then read why each choice is right or wrong.

WebXam-style domain: Biotechnology Research and ExperimentsSelf-check skill: Using a confidence rating to target review before an assessment
A student's tracker shows 85 percent confidence on the infection unit, with a note that incidence versus prevalence is still confusing. What is the most useful next step before the WebXam?
